María Gabriela García Aguilar is a Project Executive at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), currently based in Guatemala, where she works on the structuring and implementation of development projects with high economic and social impact.
With over 15 years of experience in investment banking and multilateral development finance, she brings a unique combination of expertise in both project execution and international resource mobilization.
Her career has focused on connecting global financial flows with regional development priorities, particularly in areas such as climate action, sustainable infrastructure, and private sector development.
Prior to her current role, she served as an External Financing Executive at CABEI, leading strategic negotiations and partnerships with multilateral and bilateral institutions, including European development banks and international financial organizations.
She played a key role in structuring co-financing and blended finance solutions that enabled the scaling of development initiatives across Central America.
In her current position, she contributes to the identification, structuring, and execution of projects in Guatemala, ensuring alignment with sustainability principles and development impact objectives.
